The Saginaw County Bar Association is an affiliate organization of the State Bar of Michigan. The purpose of this corporation is as follows: “To maintain the honor and the dignity of the profession of the law, to increase its usefulness in promoting the due administration of justice, to cultivate social intercourse among its members.”  

The benefits in being a SCBA member are numerous, they include:

            *Membership meetings with guest speakers

            *Social events including the upcoming Holiday Party and the annual golf outing

            *Free digital subscription to the newsletter, The Summons.  $20.00 charge for mailed copy

            *Membership to the SCBA listserv, an electronic way to stay connected with the local legal community, and the State and Federal courts

            *Posting on the Field of Practice page on our website ‘Saginawbar. org.

            *Access to the SCBA Office in the basement of the courthouse which includes a conference room available to members for depositions, etc.

SCBA relies on its membership to support, finance, and coordinate all the SCBA activities. It is through its members that we can fund Law Day, and numerous donations to the community.

As you probably know, SCBA along with SCLA host a tremendously successful Law Day Program for community members.   It includes the Law Day Mock Trial with lunch provided for teams.  And award program for both members and community leaders. 

Your financial contributions truly are vital to our existence, but so is your membership - just knowing that you support what we are doing keeps us going. Please, renew by filling out the enclosed Membership Enrollment Form. 

SCBA accepts SBM Emeritus Status members free.  Simply fill out the SCBA Enrollment Form indicating you are an Emeritus member of the State Bar of Michigan.   This entitles you to free membership to SCBA but to keep your membership current please submit the 2023 Member Enrollment Form.
