ADR Summit 2023

Attached is the notice from the State Bar of Michigan for two days of virtual training to be held March 21 and March 28, offering eight advanced mediation training credits.  Registration is open now.

Registration fees: $25 per day for members, $50 per day for non-members.

As per the local Administrative Order 2008-01-J Alternative Dispute Resolution Plan C “6. Continuing Education. Approved mediators must obtain eight hours of approved advanced mediation training during each 2-year period of service as a mediator, to be approved and monitored by ADR Committee.  Failure to demonstrate compliance with this subsection to the AR Committee constitutes cause for removal from the approved list of mediators,”  alternative_dispute_resolution_plan.pdf (saginawcounty.com)

The local ADR committee is currently updating the Mediator Roster.  There are many applications that need to update or need to provide current ‘Certificate of Completion’. 

Please provide any certification prior to the next ADR Committee Meeting on April 20, 2023.

A Roster of all approved mediators will be periodically listed in The Summons and annually updated and provided to all local judges, with copies provided to each clerk’s office.
