Hi All,

I hope you are all staying healthy and taking extra precautions during this unprecedented health concern – I wanted to give an update of information that I have received on the three counties to make sure you are informed with as much information as we have.

Saginaw County Court – Based on the most recent information that I have received, anything that is not a hearing for an inmate that is in custody or an emergency will be adjourned from March 17 to April 10. Obviously you should contact the Judge’s office that you are to appear in to confirm that your hearings are adjourned and to make sure that this is accurate. As of this morning the Courts are not closing and the clerk’s offices will remain open as well.

Midland County – Based on information this morning, there are no specific changes however, you should call and make sure your hearings are going as scheduled as any request for adjournment will be granted per the State recommendations. I would advise to request adjournments if you/your clients/witnesses are in the high risk category of people and if you are not adjourned please take extra care in following all CDC recommendations and especially try to stay the recommended amount of space (6 feet) away from others as much as possible.  

Bay County – Based on information provided this morning, all hearings that are not for an inmate that is in custody or an emergency will be adjourned for 3 weeks – Judge Sheeran is 6 weeks due to his already planned time off. Obviously you should contact the Judge’s office that you are to appear in to confirm that your hearings are adjourned and to make sure that this is accurate. As of this morning the Courts are not closing and the clerk’s offices will remain open as well.
