NOTICE: DOMESTIC RELATIONS HEARINGS

Effective May 4, 2020, Judge Borchard will be hearing all attorney represented hearings via zoom.  Pro per motions/hearings are being adjourned at this time.  You can access the Hearing Room using Judge Borchard’s personal meeting room number: 9374056406.  Please make sure your client has the information to access the Zoom Hearing Room and if the other side is unrepresented, make an effort to contact them to provide the information.  You should include the Zoom access information on all future notices of hearings until further notice. 

You will be placed into a waiting room when accessing the courtroom and let in when your case is called. Please be ready to go when your case is called, Judge has advised that we will not wait on people because of the complexity of holding hearings in this manner.  If you are not ready when your case is called, it will need to be adjourned. 

Further Zoom instructions are as follows:

Windows Desktops, PC’s and Laptops: Go to the Zoom website (zoom.us) click on “Join a Call” and Enter Meeting ID: 9374056406

Apple, Android Tablets or Phones: Install the Zoom App from the Apple or Android Store prior to the call. Launch the Zoom app at the time of the call and join using Meeting ID: 9374056406

Phone Call Only: Call 646-876-9923 or 669-900-6833 and enter the meeting ID when prompted: 9374056406

**Please make sure your audio and video are on – they are located in the left bottom corner of your screen and mute your microphone if you have background noise until you are ready to speak**

Motion Days- The revised hearing schedule will remain in effect through June at this time.  Additional motion days will be added as needed.  The hearing schedule is as follows:

Monday: MOTION DAY

9:00: A-G

10:30 H-O

1:30: P-Z

2:30 Attorney represented only motions (any part of the alphabet as long as there is an attorney filing)

Tuesday: MOTION DAY
9:00 : A-G

10:30 H-O

1:30 : P-Z

Wednesday: ALL FILINGS FOR DO CASES

9:00: All DO filings

Thursday:  Left open for any evidentiary hearings

Friday:

10:00 Attorney Pro Cons

11:00 Pro per Pro Cons

Trials/Settlement Conferences: All May trials, pre-trials and settlement conferences will be adjourned, although Judge Borchard is encouraging parties to use their settlement conference times to work things out on their own.  A decision regarding June dates has not been made at this time.
