Update on DOMESTIC Court scheduling:
The Court will continue to adjourn all TRIALS and PRE-TRIALS for the month of June and until further notice. Judge Borchard has asked that you continue to do your SETTLEMENT CONFERENCES on your own through Zoom- We would recommend using the time currently set and conduct your own zoom meeting to settle your cases. You can send notices to the other side with instructions on how to access the zoom meetings- or if both parties are represented communicate openly with each other on how you will conduct your settlement conference. This should be akin to meeting at the Courthouse in one of the Jury rooms, but instead, you will be meeting virtually. If you settle your case during the settlement conference, you can submit your settlement on a 7 day notice to the Court for entry of the stip order (would be a good plan when you settle some but not all issues) If all issues are settled you can simply draft your Judgment and schedule your case for a pro con on Friday.
Friend of the Court Show Cause hearings on child support will resume on Thursdays beginning June 18, 2020.
If you have adjournment requests for hearings prior to June 8, please email them to Paula Mcglown at pmcglown@PROTECTED . Adjournment requests after June 8 should go to Judy at jreiss@PROTECTED
Any Friend of the Court related questions should be directed to the respective Friend of the Court Staff Attorney or to foc@PROTECTED
