URGENT PRO BONO HELP IS NEEDED FOR EXPUNGEMENT CLINIC

As previously announced, Legal Services is hosting an Expungement Fair on August 5, 2021 from 2-7 PM with Great Lakes Bay Michigan Works! at their Saginaw Center.
A press release went out about this event and the response so far has been overwhelming. Over 500 people have contacted Michigan Works! seeking help. Not all of these people will be eligible - we are only focusing on Saginaw convictions and they serve people from the Great Lakes Bay Region. However, most of these people do have Saginaw convictions.
We need your help! This is a great, quick and easy way to make a difference in your community. Again the opportunities that exists include:
1. Prior to the event, in your free time as you choose, review ICHATs (Internet Criminal History Access Tool) to see if a person is eligible.
2. Helping on the day of the event, completing SCAO forms in meetings with eligible applicants. You do not need to attend for all 5 hours. We will work around your schedule.
3. Attending hearings at later dates.
