Obituary for Keith L. Skutt

Beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away at his home on Monday, August 30, 2021. Age 67 years. The son of the late Ivan and Betty (Stone) Skutt, Keith was born on December 31, 1953, in Saginaw, Michigan. Keith proudly served in the United States Navy from 1974 to 1976. He married Jean M. Flynn on August 23, 1986. She survives him. Keith began his own law practice in Saginaw in 1987. He enjoyed gardening and hunting and had a vast collection of baseball memorabilia, records and firearms.

Surviving besides his wife Jean are two sons, Nathan (Kandice) Skutt, Armada; Robert Skutt, Saginaw; his granddaughter, Shaylynn Skutt; his siblings, Carol (Frank) Armenta, Las Vegas, Nevada; Dale (Maryann) Skutt, Tuscon, Arizona; Lon Skutt, Sierra Vista, Arizona; Ken (Sue) Skutt, Saginaw; many nieces and nephews; his mother-in-law, Janet Flynn, Fenton; many nieces, nephews; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Keith was preceded in death by his brother Larry Skutt and by his father-in-law, Richard Flynn.

Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 3, 2021, at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish – St. Helen Catholic Church, 2445 N. Charles St. Rev. Fr. Baltha Raj will officiate. Military Honors will be rendered by the United States Navy. Honoring Mr. Skutt’s wishes cremation will follow. Friends may visit at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Friday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Family and friends will pray the Rosary at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to V.N.A Hospice.
