All,
I have shared a lot of information about our Expungement Clinic that will be held on Friday, October 22, 2021. We are still seeking volunteers.
This truly is an easy and interesting volunteer experience. You will be making a positive impact in your community while getting some pro bono hours. You will walk away feeling like you helping to change a life.
We also need help before the clinic and this is help you can do in whatever time you have available.
Please consider this special project. We have Attorney General Dana Nessel coming to speak at the Pro Bono lunch at the end of the month. Her office is very interested in seeing this expungement work getting done. We hope she will be impressed with the work being done by SCBA members!
Also, I have been in contact with SVSU Professor Julie Keil about getting members of the pre-law organization involved. This is the same group of students that participate in Moot Court. This is a great opportunity for them to interact with the Bar and see how part of the legal system works.
Please contact me or Jamie Clayton at 989-252-7329 or
jclayton@PROTECTED for more information to sign up.
Thank you!
Amy
