I am looking to refer a case. This is in the entertainment industry.
Factual situation as it has been presented to me:
1- Talent agent-Client “Agent” has had difficulty obtaining acts and has had sudden and unexplained cancellations by acts.
2- The Agent has reasons, and apparently witnesses, to believe that a rival and more established booking agent has been informing various acts that if they book any performances with the newer agent, the rival will cease doing business with those acts.
3- The agents work in different counties and for practical reasons do not book outside their home counties.
4- It is believed the situation has been continuing for the entirety of the Agent’s length of business, of a small number of years.
