Stephen "Steve" Andrew Seman

Death: December 7th, 2022 Age: 71 years

Stephen “Steve” Andrew Seman, age 71, of Saginaw Township, passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2022. He was born and raised in Saginaw, graduating from St. Stephen’s High School in 1969.

Steve attended and graduated from Michigan State University. He was a lifetime “Spartan”. He then attended Wayne State University Law School and graduated in 1977. Steve practiced law as a sole practitioner from 1977 until his retirement in 2021.

Steve was an avid fitness buff. He ran in numerous road races and marathons throughout his life. He enjoyed skiing, taking multiple ski trips all over the world. He was a member of the Snowdrifter Ski Club and participated in Thursday night races at Apple Mountain. Steve was also a golfer, participating in the St. Stephen’s Golf League for years. Steve traveled the world; and he especially loved spending time in Lake Tahoe. He was a passionate advocate for animals and donated extensive time to the Animal Legal Defense Fund. He especially loved his cats.

Predeceasing Steve were his parents, Andrew and Arlene Seman; and his sister, Phyllis Seman. He is survived by his brother, Mark; his close friend, Carrie Cole; and various nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Cremation has taken place and Steve will be buried at St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
