Loving father, grandfather and brother passed away on Monday, February 19, 2024, at his home. Age 71 years. The son of the late Clifford and Dorothy (Coates) Smith, Randall was born on January 5, 1953, in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Patricia Baldwin, his loving wife of 48 years, on August 10, 1973. She predeceased him on June 20, 2022. Randy was an attorney at the law firm of Smith and Popielarz retiring after 40 years of service. Randy was a member of the Michigan and American Bar Associations and proud Alumni of the University of Michigan. He was also a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and former member of St. Josaphat Catholic Church. He loved to golf and was a member of Germania Town & Country Club and Maple Hill. Randy also enjoyed going to the theatre and playing poker at the casino.

Surviving are two daughters, Melissa and Skip Mulligan, Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina; Andrea and Eric Jamrog, Bay City, Michigan; four grandchildren, Alayna and Chaz Mulligan, Lauren and Ethan Jamrog; two sisters, Beth and Bob Shemanski, Lapeer; Amy and Dennis McCallum, Bridgeport; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Linda and Darrell Falconer, Saginaw; seven nieces and nephews, Rachel Eisenlohr, Rob Shemanski, Marlies McCallum, Pam McCallum, Julie Crockett, Rosalie Aldrich and Joe Shemanski.

Funeral Liturgy will take place 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 24, 2024, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 5376 State St., Saginaw. Rev. Fr. Bala Showry Madanu will officiate. Honoring Mr. Smith’s wishes cremation will follow. Friends may visit at the Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church or the HealthWell Foundation.
